Bus from La Paz, BO to Uyuni: Tickets & Schedules

Departed 1.5hrs after scheduled. Boarding the bus was chaos. When we eventually left, we kept getting woken up by people checking tickets.

The bus was very comfortable, on time, right temperature and the bathroom was working.

No Problems with checkin. Bottle of water gratis. Seats in three rows separated. Everything perfekt

Good: The seats reclined very far which was very comfortable. They freshly cleaned the bus which was nice. Staff were helpful on the bus.

The bus was very very hot and my chair didn’t work properly and my boyfriend’s foot rest didn’t work properly. We were meant to leave La Paz at 10:30 but actually got moving at midnight. The bus also smelt dreadful

**The most terrifying experience of my life.** We were traveling from La Paz to Uyuni when our bus suddenly stopped dangerously in the middle of the road around 2 a.m. At first, I thought the driver might have been tired and was taking a quick nap to ensure we arrived safely at 7 a.m. However, even after 50 minutes, the bus still hadn’t moved, and the heater made the inside of the bus unbearably hot. As the temperature rose, passengers started waking up, and one person decided to check on the driver. They knocked on the driver's door to ask about the situation, but he didn’t respond. When the knocking continued, all the passengers were awake, and we collectively realized something was wrong. We contacted the police, but they dismissed our call, assuming it was a mechanical issue. While some passengers tried knocking harder, others even attempted to forcibly open the door. Just as we were about to dismantle the door, the bus suddenly started moving. When the driver finally opened the door, we were overwhelmed by a strong smell of alcohol. Realizing the driver was intoxicated, we immediately stopped him from driving and called the police again. We were left in the hot bus, filled with anxiety and fear, from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. A replacement bus arrived at 6 a.m., and we finally reached Uyuni at 10 a.m., hours behind schedule. This was the most horrific and dangerous travel experience I’ve ever had. The safety and well-being of passengers should always be the top priority, and this bus company clearly failed in their responsibility. I strongly urge the company to take action against this driver and implement stricter policies to ensure passenger safety in the future.

It was very good. No problems whatsoever. It was on time, the bus was comfortable and we enjoyed the free snacks.

Awful - had to change bus at 1am. Was only refunded 30 bolivians. When we got onto the second bus we were given used blankets and pillows

Prompt departure. Felt safe. Drivers good. The attendant could have closed all the curtains to help with sleeping
